According to Apple, “the update contains generic bug fixes and improvements”. The bug fix that is specifically aimed for the new phone iPhone 5C and iPhone 5S, is available to be downloaded as an over the air update of small version of 17 MB, or a larger update of 1.3 GB through computers or Mac running iTunes 11.1.

The bug that prevented customers to use the fingertip sensor to download applications from the iTunes stores has been fixed by updating the iOS 7.0.1. The version update has eased the difficulty of iPhone 5s users to enter passwords whenever the fingerprint sensor failed.  Now, they can easily shop for music or applications, using the fingerprint reader!

As the fingertip sensor has only been introduced in iPhone 5s, it is being assumed the version also holds answers for the fixation of errors and bugs in iPhone 5C.

However, the new software was unable to address the issue of the lock screen bypass flow. This discovery helps anyone with the sense to understand and write to break the lock by a few moves and discovering the passcode, thus forcing their way into the phone.  As this is a complete breach of privacy, there is an urgent need to amend this flaw.

It has been promised that a solution for this flaw shall be soon found out!
